You will find a very similar problem in summer with an uninsulated home. The sun bakes on your roof from the outside, cause the inside of your roof to warm up dramatically. The heat that get built up inside your roof then starts getting forced inside your home through the thin ceiling.
When you have no insulation to block the heat from entering your ceiling. It can be very uncomfortable during the peak summer season making every room in your home unbearable to be in. Which leads to putting the air cons on and trying to cool the room down. Which again leads to higher electricity bills!
